Two ways to plug in.
USB-A and USB-C, together in one compact device. Connect to one host at a time, with the connector that fits.
One device. Both connectors.Meet your next USB security tool
Purpose-built hardware. Open-source firmware planned.
A little more power in your pocket.
A USB-A + USB-C device in development for keystroke automation and authorized security testing.
In development. Built with intention.
01 / The device
A good tool earns its place in your kit. We’re building PlugnPwn around thoughtful components, useful connections and the freedom to make it your own.
USB-A and USB-C, together in one compact device. Connect to one host at a time, with the connector that fits.
One device. Both connectors.ESD protection, a resettable fuse and protected power paths are designed in from the start. The details matter.
Protection is part of the design.Buy the hardware. Explore the firmware. Our plan is to give you the source to inspect, adapt and build on.
Your tools should invite curiosity.Currently in hardware development. Final specifications and validation results will follow prototype testing.
02 / The philosophy
Great hardware is only half the story.
We believe you should be able to understand what your tools do. PlugnPwn is being built around open-source firmware, so you can read the code, change its behavior and take your ideas further.
Find us on GitHubFirmware source and license will be published with the first release.
We believe you should be able to understand, modify and build the firmware running on your device.
| Your freedom | PlugnPwn Planned open source | A closed-firmware approach |
|---|---|---|
| Inspect the code | Public firmware source | Source not publicly provided |
| Make changes | Modify the firmware yourself | Firmware changes depend on the vendor |
| Build your version | Build from source | Use vendor-supplied builds |
Firmware approaches compared. PlugnPwn features shown are planned; source and license will be shared with the first release.
03 / Small actions. Real possibilities.
A USB device can act like a keyboard. PlugnPwn turns that simple idea into a tool for repeatable tasks, hands-on learning and authorized security testing.

The final device, the full details and what comes next.
PlugnPwn is a compact USB device in development for scripted keystrokes, security testing and everyday automation. It is being designed for researchers, educators and people who like to understand the tools they use.
The firmware. The plan is to publish the source so you can inspect, modify and build it yourself. The hardware is a commercial product; buying the device supports its development. The firmware repository and license will be shared when the first release is ready.
The current hardware design includes both USB-A and USB-C connectors. You use one connector at a time, with one host. Final host compatibility will be published after prototype testing.
PlugnPwn combines purpose-built USB hardware with planned open-source firmware. Our goal is to give you the source to understand, modify and build the firmware yourself. The comparison above describes firmware approaches; final features and compatibility will be confirmed through prototype testing.
PnP Script is the source language for PlugnPwn. PlugnPwn Studio is a free browser workspace with a language guide, local compilation and offline use. Its source is MIT licensed; public source publication is planned. Studio compiles PnP Script into payload files; device execution and validation belong to the firmware and hardware. Open PlugnPwn Studio
PnP Script uses familiar keystroke instructions. Compatibility with scripts written for other tools is still being validated. We will publish a tested compatibility guide before making specific support claims.
Our target launch price is €50 / US$60. This is an estimate, not a confirmed offer. Final campaign pricing, taxes and shipping details will be announced with the Kickstarter campaign.
PlugnPwn is currently in hardware development, ahead of the first prototype run. Delivery estimates and the final specification will be announced with the Kickstarter campaign. There are no pre-orders open on this website.
